What Are Puppets?
A puppet is an object, often resembling a human, animal or mythical figure,
that is animated or manipulated by a person called a puppeteer.
Un burattino è un oggetto, spesso simile a un essere umano, a un animale o a una creatura fantastica,
che viene animato o mosso da una persona chiamata burattinaio.
The History of Puppetry
Puppetry is an ancient form of theatre which dates back to the 5th century BC
in ancient Greece.
​L’arte dei burattini è una forma antichissima di teatro, che risale al V secolo a.C. nell’antica Grecia.
There are several kinds of puppets, made of different materials,
very simple or complex in their construction.
Esistono diversi tipi di burattini, realizzati con materiali vari, e possono essere molto semplici
oppure davvero complessi nella loro costruzione.
